Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Unfollowers Auditor is a Chrome browser extension ("the Extension") developed and distributed as an independent product. For questions about this policy, contact us at support@unfollowersauditor.com.

2. Information we do NOT collect

The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your Instagram username, password, or account credentials
• Your follower or following lists
• Any personal information about you or the accounts you interact with
• Browsing history or session data
• Usage analytics or behavioral telemetry

3. What the Extension does

The Extension reads data from Instagram pages you are already logged into, directly within your browser. This data is processed in memory and never leaves your device. Specifically:

• It reads your following list from within your active Instagram session.
• It identifies which accounts do not follow you back.
• It enables you to unfollow accounts through your own browser session.
• All operations run locally on your machine.

4. License key validation

When you activate a license key, the Extension makes a network request to our license validation server to verify the key is valid and active. This request contains:

• The license key you entered
• A hash of your browser/device identifier (to enforce single-device usage per license)

No personally identifiable information is sent in this request. License validation data is stored securely and is not shared with third parties.

5. No data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share any user data with third parties. The Extension does not contain advertising, tracking SDKs, or analytics libraries of any kind.

6. Storage

The Extension may store the following data locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API:

• Your license key (to avoid re-entering it on each use)
• Your whitelist of protected accounts
• Your preference settings

This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any server.

7. Permissions

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions, which are required for its core functionality:

• activeTab / instagram.com access: To read your following list and perform unfollow actions within Instagram's interface.
• storage: To save your license key, whitelist, and preferences locally.
• host permissions (instagram.com): To interact with Instagram pages you visit.

8. Third-party services

Purchases are processed by Gumroad. Gumroad's own privacy policy applies to any data you submit during checkout. We do not receive or store your payment information.

9. Children's privacy

The Extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
